On Saturday 26th September, we began the survey at the old Erskine graveyard beside Bishopton Parish Church on Ferry Road.

We have fully recorded and photographed Section 1. The team has recorded all the monuments in Section 2, and we still need to photograph them. Towards the end of the day we uncovered flat stones in Section 3 that grass cuttings and moss had covered. We also took the opportunity to uncover fully the stone connect to John Shaw of Bargarran who died in 1723.

Over the coming weeks we will be processing the paperwork and merging the photograph records to complete Section 1 along with photographing Section 2 fully. Once we have completed these sections, we will add images and the transcriptions to the website. Until then, here are a few images from Section 3.
